  • 2 kilos of yam;
  • 2 kilos of potato;
  • 1 tablespoon of oil or butter;
  • 1/2 sliced ​​leek;
  • 1 clove of garlic (optional);
  • 1 tablespoon of chopped parsley;
  • 1/2 liter of broth;
  • Salt to taste.

Preparation:

  • Peel the yams and potatoes, break them into small pieces and put them to cook in boiling water with a little salt;
  • After 30 minutes, add the leeks, garlic cloves and parsley, sautéed in butter or oil; cook for another 15 minutes;
  • Pass everything through a sieve or vegetable strainer, add the meat broth, season with salt to taste;
  • Bring to a boil to heat.

  • 1 kilo of yam;
  • 200 grams of bacon;
  • 200 grams of smoked sausage or pepperoni (to taste);
  • 1 chopped onion;
  • 2 cloves of crushed garlic;
  • 1 pinch of black pepper (optional);
  • 1 watercress sauce.

Preparation:


  • Cook the yam in 1 liters of water;
  • Mash the yam well, and reserve the water you boiled the yam in;
  • Fry the bacon, sausage and add the onion and garlic; saute well;
  • Put the water and the yam;
  • Let it boil well;
