Today we are going to talk about two medicinal plants for anxiety and difficulty sleeping. After all, some minds don't stop and anxiety can become something very devastating when not controlled, causing many symptoms, including physical ones.

We present the lemongrass, also called lemongrass or holy grass. It is an herb with incredible medicinal properties: anxiolytic, relaxing, antibacterial, diuretic, analgesic, digestive and expectorant. And it can be easily grown in a pot in your garden.

Melissa, also called lemon balm or lemon balm, has sedative, digestive, repellent action and helps with menstrual cramps.

Let's share the recipe for a simple, fragrant, delicious tea that warms the body and comforts the soul, to drink before bed.

In a pan, bring water to boil. Clean the leaves of the lemon balm, extract the leaves and discard the stalks. Use about 6 fresh leaves or a tablespoon if using dried herb.


With the help of scissors – because with your hands it is more difficult – cut the lemon balm and wash the leaves. Use 15 to 20 leaves if using the fresh leaf or 5 to 6 tablespoons if using the dried herb.


After the water is boiled, turn off the heat, put the herbs in infusion and smother the pan for 15 to 20 minutes. Strain and the tea is ready. The ideal is not to sweeten.


Take it a couple of hours before going to bed, because it's quite a diuretic, so if you take it too close to bedtime, you'll need to get up to go to the bathroom.
