Our feet, our frame

The feet are organs that work for our balance. They are made up of muscles, bones, joints and other cells important for our transport from one place to another.

Sometimes forgotten, special care must be taken, such as attention to hygiene, exfoliation and hydration. So that we can know our physique, we must observe our feet, they are a reflection of the other corresponding organs of the body.

Foot reflexology is an ancient technique that has been applied for many years for the well-being and balance of the body's organs, as well as acupuncture and shiatsu. Since antiquity, images with drawings of people treating the feet of others have raised curiosity about the effectiveness of the technique.

Our feet, our frame

Research was carried out in several places, including Africa, with specialists who wanted to apply the technique and record their results. William Fitzgerald, an American physician, observed Indians who used pressure on the points of the feet to relieve pain and researched how our central nervous system is interconnected with certain touches and pressures, both in the feet and in the hands.

This study with zonal therapy was applied to postoperative patients to verify its effectiveness. Eunice Ingham drew the maps of the feet with the related organs and applied the technique with her thumbs. She has published two books and introduced talc for foot applications.

The feet are organs that have a lucid layer. Sweat glands eliminate toxins that we are constantly getting from food, free radicals, water and air. Looking at the parts of the feet we can conclude if there are areas that we can pay more attention to in our body.

If there are calluses, they also represent signs of some imbalance. With the foot map we can activate the electromagnetic energy of the whole body bringing homeostasis to all systems.

Advantages of the technique:

1. Non-invasive;
2. It can be applied to people who have a massage phobia;
3. Highly relaxing and detoxifying;
4. Increases the strengthening of the immune system, as it generates neurotransmitters such as serotonin;
5. Prevents aging, activates sweat glands by eliminating toxins and free radicals;
6. Improves bowel function;
7. Stimulates the nerves;
8. Relieves pain;
9. Helps to improve against PMS problems (premenstrual tension);
10. Helps people who suffer from sinusitis.

The technique session lasts for 1 hour and must be repeated after 72 hours, which is the time the organism responds to the stimuli that were applied, based on each case.

The benefits are numerous and more and more we find professionals discovering its numerous applications and publishing scientific research on the subject. Health must be paramount to the quality of human life.

With this technique, many people are benefited. Foot reflexology does not replace any medical treatment, but it can be complementary to prevent various imbalances.
