Macela to relax

    In remote work time, muscle pain has never been so present. The hours hunched over the computer, added to an inadequate posture, result in a pain there, another here and often everything hurts! It hurts the body and it hurts to feel. Fear, worries and uncertainties also hurt, but they hurt emotions, which, in turn, โ€œindirectlyโ€ affect the physical body, bringing even more tension and, guess what, pain!

    Stretching, exercises and meditation are indispensable tools in times of tension, but our grandmothers' magic teas can also be excellent partners in the treatment of pain. One, in particular, has certain therapeutic functions in relieving tension. Macela (Achyrocline satureioides), an herbaceous plant of the Asteraceae family, has herbal active principles that classify it as analgesic, anti-inflammatory, calming and muscle relaxant. Its flowers, in particular, can help you a lot in times of muscle crises. Just consume 500 ml of tea during the day and / or a cup close to bedtime.

    Although macela is very effective in muscle relaxation, it is not just the muscles that relax. Our emotional also benefits a lot from the infusion of its fragrant flowers. In fact, our reactions relax. What could infuriate us before, believe me, in a magic pass no longer takes us off the axis. Macela medicine teaches us to look at our challenges more lightly.

    So use and abuse this gift of nature. Oh! Also worth a bath, foot bath and room spray. Remember that plants act on several levels: physical, emotional and energetic. Macela tea recipe (same for bath and foot soak):

    • 500 ml of filtered water;
    • 2 tablespoons of macela flowers (dehydrated, you can find them in health food stores);
    • Honey to sweeten (if you don't want it, you don't need to sweeten it).

    Heat the water as soon as the first bubbles start to appear, turn off the heat and add the spoons of the macela flowers. Cover and leave to infuse for 10 minutes. Strain, sweeten and enjoy!

    NOTE 1: do not boil the tea water, as the flowers are rich in essential oils, which go away if boiled at high temperatures.

    NOTE 2: consume the indicated 500 ml within 24 hours; after that time, the plant oxidizes and loses its properties.

    NOTE 3: see the preparation of your tea as a ritual of self-care and self-love, so capriche!
