If you are looking for a new ally for your diets, jams can be great options to accompany breadsticks in the afternoon snack. It is true that in the market there are numerous brands of fruit jellies that are sold as zero sugar, but you can create your own jam, with the flavor you want and best of all: making it even more natural and functional.
Check out some homemade recipes, easy to prepare:
Functional Red Jelly
Ingredients:
– 200g of fresh blueberries or strawberries (you can use both fruits together);
– 3 tablespoons of water;
– 1 tablespoon of molasses;
– 1 tablespoon of chia.
Preparation:
Place the fruit in the juice extractor using the lower pulp retention filter to ensure a more robust extract. Bring all the extract to the fire. Add the molasses and water, stir over medium heat until the fruit starts to break down. Add the chia and stir until it is evenly mixed. Let cool and store in a sterilized glass container for up to a week.
Functional Grape Jelly
Ingredients:
– Natural whole grape juice;
– Premium Chia Seed;
– Brown flaxseed.
Preparation:
Place the desired amount of flaxseed and chia seeds in a small bowl and cover with whole grape juice. Leave in the fridge until the jelly forms, this process takes about 12 hours. If you prefer, add honey to the recipe.
Tip: you can use other juices according to your preference.
Functional strawberry and chia jelly
Ingredients:
– 12 units of strawberry;
– 3 tablespoons of chia seeds.
Preparation:
Blend ten strawberries, chia and sugar in a blender for 5 minutes or until you get a homogeneous cream. If needed, add a little water to make it easier. Then cut the two remaining strawberries. Reserve for garnish. Put the dough in a closed glass container and take it to the fridge until you get a jelly consistency. It is not necessary to heat it, as the chia gel will give the consistency.
Functional plum jelly
Ingredients:
– 1 cup pitted prunes (or apricots);
– 2 cups of water;
- A bit of salt.
Preparation:
Cook for about 1 hour on low heat and then mash the plums well.
Optional: Put half the amount of plum and half of apricot
