The word “command” usually refers to the act of commanding and leading or reminds us of the military/army, as well as an autonomous terrorist organization group. Something that is not necessarily part of our life or that even reminds us of bad feelings, such as fear and oppression.
Here I will present you a new perspective… According to the Chinese technique of harmony of spaces, Feng Shui, to have prosperity in several aspects we need to assume the position of command in our life.
But you must be wondering: what does that mean?
Command position, according to Feng Shui, is a criterion for locating people in environments; that is, to have control and command our life, we can start by assuming the position of command from the front door of our home.
In practice it works as follows: the furniture – at least in the main rooms of the house, such as the living room, dining room, our bedroom and kitchen – must be positioned so that we have a wide and complete view of the space so that we do not being “caught by surprise” when someone shows up, even if it is someone who lives with us or who we are waiting for.
I'll give an example to clarify what I mean...
In the living room, the ideal position for the sofa is one where, when you are seated, you are facing the front door of the house or the room itself, where you can see the whole space and also who arrives.
In the bedroom, the best position for the bed is facing the front door – preferably not with your feet all the way towards the door. Thus, you are not surprised by anyone and you do not lose vital energy.
If you have a room that you use as an office, the ideal thing is that the table is equally positioned so you can have a view of the entire space and see who is arriving. In this case, the suggestion is that the table is not completely in front of the entrance door so you don't lose vitality. Usually, when this happens, we end up feeling more tired.
In the kitchen, the best thing is for the stove to face the main entrance door of the room so you won't be surprised by whoever arrives. Here, unfortunately, it is not always possible to change the position of the furniture because of the water and gas point installations.
In the dining room, for you to assume the position of command of your life, it is important to sit on the side of the table that gives you the best view of the space, following the rule of the entrance door.
When we cannot change the position of the furniture, one of the alternatives is to place a mirror that helps us, from where we are sitting, to better see the entire environment and also the entrance door. In this way, we will have control of who is arriving and, consequently, we will be in charge of our life. The bigger the mirror, the better!
