On December 13, the dog Ninão* died. He was very charismatic and his human father, Rodrigo, loved to make videos talking to him and featuring him in costumes of various characters. When that happened, Ninão reacted by showing his teeth and wagging his tail, as if to say: “here he comes again with those weird clothes!”.
This fact caused a stir on social media. Ninão became well known because of the videos, which were very funny! But unfortunately the animals leave one day… And after ten years, Ninão became very sick. After facing two months of treatment, he couldn't resist and died!
I make this report because I am saddened whenever I receive news of the death of an animal and the suffering of its owner. I know what this pain is! Anyone who lives with and loves an animal will understand why we feel so broken when they leave.
By sharing existence with these beings, we rescue simplicity and purity, we feel in a dimension where we can be who we want to be, because they invite us to do so because they are spontaneous and true! Living this experience takes us to the Eternal Now!
This bond with animals helps us to disconnect from everything that imprisons our soul and, in this freedom, it simply is what it is: pure love! That's why it's so difficult when they leave… A lifetime may pass, but the memories remain, because they were lived with our soul. The moments with our beloved animals are immortalized in our hearts and memories!
Every time someone cries for the departure of their animal, we remember ours who are gone, but who are still alive in the love that was immortalized in our essence!
