TPM - TIME FOR ME

    The period before menstruation is called PMS. (Premenstrual tension), which I prefer to call โ€œtime for meโ€. It is a period that brings a lot of discomfort to most women, as there are several hormonal and physical changes such as edema, swelling, tiredness, pain and, of course, irritability.

    The decrease in estrogen makes us more emotional and sensitive. Because of all these changes, most women don't feel comfortable during this period and believe that PMS is really a very difficult phase of the menstrual cycle. The most important thing is that we can look at PMS as a moment of great self-knowledge in which we access our unconscious. Everything that is hidden in our personality, which we are often unaware of, is revealed to us in order to show us what still needs to be worked on.



     The most important thing is to respect the moment of recollection that this period calls for, to slow down our pace and our thoughts a little, to be more generous and patient with ourselves.

    This PMS phase is associated with the sorceress face of the Goddess and the waning moon. During this period it is worth paying attention to everything that irritates us and reflecting on whether situations and people are not reflections of our interior. Welcoming everything that is being revealed to us, without judgment and self-criticism, is a key point for the transformation process that the period provides.

    Being more in touch with nature, quieting the mind and heart through meditation, avoiding gossip and crowded places are tips for dealing with the PMS period. One of the great challenges of the modern woman is to look at PMS as a moment of reflection and internal changes, as an ally and not as an enemy. Cleanse the heart for a fuller and more complete acceptance of self.

    Tea to ease PMS symptoms

    Ingredients

    • A handful of dried hibiscus
    • A handful of fennel
    • seeds of a pomegranate

    Preparation



    Just add the ingredients to 200ml of hot water, smother for 15 minutes and drink 3x a day.
