the writing notebook

Dear readers, have you ever stopped to think why we love to read stories? I venture to say that we like it, because we seek identification about something that connects us in experiences, experiences and opinions. I felt something, did anyone else feel it? How can I describe in words what is going on in my heart? What are these doubts in my mind? Hey! Has anyone else gone through this?

Writing and reading is a way of finding oneself and finding oneself in others. I particularly meet with Clarice Lispector at various times: I identify with the roller coaster that is my heart. I also need a lot of patience, because I have several paths, including the fatal dead end. Among his rich literature, the following quote is the one that delights me the most: “Sometimes writing a single line is enough to save your heart.”

I fully agree. My heart has been saved countless times through writing.

I love writing by nature and by craft. It's my most powerful resource for healing something that hurts and I can't always understand. It is the food that nourishes every particle of my body and soul. In the face of changes, joys, sadness, doubts, plans, goals, thanks, whatever it is, it's for the notebook that I'm going. My friend and adviser; the writing notebook.

As a teenager, I wrote in “my dear diary”. Every phase change and discovery was listed on its pages. Each new realization was narrated to my best friend. And it was in this period of hormonal changes and all the other changes that involve the teenage period that I had depression. At the time I had no information, I didn't know other girls who went through this. Writing about my feelings helped me to mature and it was easier to find help and be able to expose what was going on with me. It was possible to perceive and narrate; express what I felt.

Over the years, the diary was replaced by the notebook and today I understand how important this technique is in the journey towards self-knowledge. When I reach the dead end, all I have to do is turn back a few pages and read my story, recognizing myself in the passages I've already covered and lost. Then I find myself.

When I started the Possible People Project, my goal was to share wellness practices so more people could test and apply. And it was in the preparation of the Writing Workshops that the idea arose of putting some exercises so that after the course people could continue practicing.

Therefore, I would like to share this project with you and I wish you to accept this beautiful adventure of practicing self-care through writing. It's gratifying!
