The power of vinegar in cleaning the house

Vinegar is seasoning and also gives health to the hair. But, do you know the power of vinegar in cleaning the house? No? Know that its effectiveness is due to acetic acid, a substance present in many degreasing cleaning products. And that goes for apple cider vinegar and white. The power is such that the product can be used in every room in the house. Get ready to discover the wonders that vinegar does for our daily cleaning.
1. To clean oven, stove and microwave 

Mix 2 tablespoons of vinegar, 2 tablespoons of baking soda, 2 tablespoons of salt and hot water. Pass the mixture on the stove panel with the soft side of the sponge and finish with a soft cloth. Use the paste also for oven cleaning. To clean the microwave, pass the solution of 100 ml of water with 50 ml of white vinegar.



2. To remove stains from pans 

Put hot water in the pans and then vinegar and bicarbonate. Leave to soak for 30 minutes and pass the soft side of the sponge. If the stains do not come out, repeat the operation. Finish with neutral detergent.

3. Clean windows 

Put 3 tablespoons of vinegar in water in a spray bottle. Spray the solution on the glasses and dry with newspaper to shine.

4. Disinfect the toilet 

Apply water, 1 cup of vinegar and 2 tablespoons of baking soda to the toilet bowl and lid. Let it act for 10 minutes and pass a soft sponge.

5. Degreaser

The grease from the bathroom shower is removed with 4 cups of vinegar and 1 cup of baking soda. Apply the solution to the floor, wait 20 minutes and use a sponge and brush to clean the corners, if necessary.



6. Clean floors (Recipe to clean porcelain floor) 

In a bucket, add 1 cup of vinegar, ½ cup of baking soda, ½ cup of lemon juice and 7 cups of water. Apply the solution to the floor, let it act for 30 minutes and wipe it with a soft cloth. Tip: test in an inconspicuous area and do not use on laminate and vinyl floors.

7. Air freshener 

Put 1 liter of water, 1 cup 200 ml of vinegar, 1 tablespoon of bicarbonate and a few drops of lemongrass essential oil in a large spray bottle. Spray the environment whenever you want.

8. Fabric softener 

For machine or hand washes, use 100 ml of vinegar for each bucket of laundry, including bedding, tableware and bath items.

9. Clean carpets 

Make a paste with vinegar and bicarbonate and scrub with a soft bristle brush.

10. Clean and remove musty smell from closets 

Once a month, take everything out of the cupboards (pantry, wardrobe, etc.) and wipe it with a cloth soaked in vinegar. Leave the doors open for an hour and return the items. If they are moldy, leave a roast with 1 liter of boiled white vinegar for 3 hours in the closed cupboard. Afterwards, pass a damp cloth with vinegar and leave the doors open until dry.


Precautions when using vinegar for cleaning 


  1. Never use pure vinegar, due to its strong smell;
  2. Do not mix with cleaning products;
  3. Always let the vinegar sit for as long as possible.

Vinegar is powerful for household cleaning.
