The fear of taking risks blocks the ability to invent, freedom, daring, the new. There are countless people who have blocked their intelligence and buried their life projects for fear of taking risks. They are neither conformed nor poor, they aim to climb their goals, but they don't dare. They try to turn their dreams into reality, but they worry about the risks of the journey. They recognize their weaknesses, they accept their limitations, but they do not go beyond their borders, they do not decipher the inner spirit to make their agenda a field of adventures.
Risk of heart attack, of having an accident, of facing financial crises, of being robbed, of a plane crashing on our head, of slipping on the sidewalk, of breaking bones playing sports, of being disappointed by the spouse, or boyfriend, even partners, of being frustrated by children, of being betrayed by friends, of having enemies for no reason, of not fulfilling the expectations of others, of having thoughtless reactions, etc.
Eliminating all the risks of humanity would generate authoritarian, individualistic, aggressive, depressed, bored people.
Without risks, our psychological capacity would not have creativity, intuition, inspiration, courage, determination, entrepreneurial spirit, much less the need for achievement. Without risks, we wouldn't know the taste of defeats or the taste of victories, because they would be an inevitable destiny, not the result of battles. Without risks, we wouldn't make mistakes, we wouldn't cry, we wouldn't apologize or help, we wouldn't need humility in our intellectual life.
We shouldn't live a risky, radical and irresponsible life. Life is unique and spectacular. Caring for her lovingly and responsibly is our greatest task. But we must know that making dreams come true, winning people over and achieving professional excellence imposes daily risks.
