Since the coming of Jesus

    Since the coming of Jesus

Have we humans improved since the times before Jesus came? I question because if we are spirits in a carnal body and we were created to be eternal, surely we were in moments of the past, as far as the oldest books of humanity refer.

It was common, in the olden days, when there were large arenas, for large crowds to gather to watch gladiators face each other to the death, which inspired filmmakers to develop films, and often those who survived were hailed as heroes and would be part of the royal army.

Have we become more evolved since then? Certainly, most of the spirits that we are do, but a large mass continues to keep within themselves the evil and the desire to commit atrocities, and we see this every day on the news.

In the arenas of old, wild beasts were seen being released to devour people who had committed crimes, and the people in the stands were delirious with pleasure seeing that sad picture.

Today there are no longer arenas covered with sand in which the dust raised and made up the blood that gushed from those who were sentenced, but we have other stages of attraction that are also traumatic and in which spectators pay admission to see agility, confrontation, battle. These locations are the wrestling and football arenas. In one of these, the blood runs free with Legal approval. In the other, confrontation with blood is forbidden, but tempers flare and the audience raves.

The violence begins as soon as they arrive at the stadiums, now called arenas, in which outside fans start to clash, with the police to act, separating them, and inside the cauldron there are cursing with profanity, with the supporters to be separated and watched by the police.

This week, a judge, the highest authority on a football field, was cowardly attacked. He had to be hospitalized. Would this be a demonstration that there has been no progress by humanity since those times?

We refer to this aggression for having had a greater impact, but they exist to a lesser extent in almost all matches, starting with disrespect to the referee, who is there performing the task of judge.

Since the coming of Jesus, who made the Gospel available to us, we continue to practice depressing acts, like what happened. Did we improve?
