Resignation

Resignation is an attitude preceded by patience that gives us conditions to face the challenges of life. This very precious virtue elevates us to the point where we anticipate the beatitudes promised by Jesus, leading us to the comfort we need.

Aware that the Spirit is immortal, they can strengthen our faith and hope, which will be the foundations that will guide our existence. However, we have a lot to persevere to reach this state of Spirit, in the face of the difficulties imposed by our imperfections.

Renouncing selfishness and pride, giving way to humility, are challenges to be overcome at first. Knowing that this path is arduous, seek the practice of intimate reform without haste, but in stages. We will never make great progress quickly. It is a process of interior honing just like cutting a diamond in a day job.

The time-grinder will take care of fulfilling this task by making our light shine, according to Matthew 5:13-16: “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in the heavens”.

In the Gospel According to Spiritism, Chapter V, Item 12, we find: “Blessed are those who cry, for they will be comforted”. (…) You must therefore feel happy that God has reduced your debt, allowing you to pay it off now, which will guarantee you tranquility in the future.

How many times do they bless the “bitter medicine” as an instrument for the recovery of our health? Pain becomes fleeting when we glimpse the effect that will bring us happiness. It is on this briefly afflicted walk that we comfort ourselves and move on.

It is never too much to remember that we are reaping the fruit of the seed we sow and that choice is entirely up to us. To paraphrase Guimarães Rosa, “Whoever chose the search cannot refuse the crossing”.

Free will allows us to distinguish the path to be followed. Divine Mercy allows our own judgment arising from conscience, which alerts us to the iniquities committed. Thus, suffering when resigned will result in the sublime elevation of the soul. If it is understood as punishment, the revolt will be a reason for its resurgence.

Resignation

We also have in the book Estude e Viva, psychography by Francisco Cândido Xavier and Waldo Vieira, by Espírito Emmanuel and André Luiz, in the Chapter Resignation and Resistance: “In fact, resignation must be studied so that patience does not bring counterproductive results. ”.

Resignation involves humility, however it should never be an instrument of accommodation. Continuing in the search for improvement regardless of setbacks is proof of perseverance and determination to reach the ideal. (Patience is the way of all wisdom).
