Happiness is this serene window, inside you, just waiting for the sun of joy to enter through its cracks

Have you ever stopped for a second in your day and paid attention to what you think? Have you ever wondered about the real meaning of what your mind makes you think about? Does it make you anxious and worried about the future? Or sad about the past? Or peaceful and present in the now? You – according to the plot your mind creates – are a person sad or happy?

Sometimes I stop to observe people in their singularities, gestures, walks, facial expressions and it is increasingly clear how sad modern society is - and how some people are constantly looking for something that sometimes they don't even know in fact. what it is--simply to fill something out.

People have this tendency to start creating a plot in their minds and instigating them to seek happiness outside of themselves – usually in superfluous things and in the wrong places. They forget that happiness is not a thing – but a state of mind. It's feeling happiness in yourself. In your totality.

Marcelo Jeneci once quoted in a song: “Happiness is just a matter of being”, and folks, that's happiness! It is being – without demands, without fears, without fear of what the other will think, because after all, the other is only and only the reflection of what you are thinking and sending to the universe – and only.

Happiness is seeking within yourself what you are. It is meditating and being present in the now. It is understanding that life has a purpose and seeking the meaning of it. It's smiling at the world, regardless of the obstacles you encounter. It's valuing the life you have and not looking to regret and compare your life with the other's. It's trying to do something different every new day. It's being free, happy and considering only your needs – without feeding desires from your illusory mind. Happiness is changing all bad habits and cauterizing them with their opposites, good habits. Happiness is our free will.
