Cupping therapy and its benefits

Cupping therapy is an ancient therapy that belongs to Acupuncture and in which acrylic cups with valves are used that produce a vacuum on the surface where they are applied, promoting improvement in blood circulation.

The acrylic suction cup is similar to a 'cup'. Handling is easy, cleaning is very simple and the use can be done with different sizes of cups – so different parts of the patient's body can be treated.

Benefits of Cupping Therapy: improvement of blood circulation and cleansing (Xue), increased resistance to diseases, body detoxification, pain relief, better tissue oxygenation, release of muscle contractures, body relaxation and pH regulation.

Indications: anemia, asthma, cellulitis, constipation, abdominal pain, headache. Pains (back, legs, etc.), fatigue, insomnia, low back pain, torticollis. It can be used in massage with oil application for suction cup sliding.

It is also used for aesthetic purposes to reduce cellulite and localized fat, to renew and strengthen the skin and lymphatic system and to reduce fluid retention in the body.

How is the treatment?

When there is a vacuum inside the suction cup, the Blood (Xue) is taken to the surface of the skin causing the Blood toxins to be released. Blood circulation is stimulated and muscle nutrition occurs.

Application time varies from 5 to 10 minutes. After removing the suction cups, the therapist should observe the color of the region where it was applied: pink, bluish, red, purple, etc. The color is indicative of the stage of the pathology and is related to the lack of oxygenation of the blood and the accumulation of toxins.

The suction cup marks are visible and disappear after a few days of application.

A treatment cycle that varies from individual to individual is usually indicated, with an interval of one week between sessions.
