If you haven't seen this series on the Netflix shelf yet, I highly recommend you watch it! “Anne with an E” is a series that takes place at the end of the XNUMXth century, in the fictional city of Avonlea, on Prince Edward Island. The series is based on the books by writer Lucy Maud Montgomery. Although a filmography always takes important facts and puts others in place, the central point is the messages that the series tells.
It's definitely a mix of emotions, because in just one episode it's possible to oscillate between feelings of sadness, anger, nostalgia and happiness! So many topics relevant to today are addressed, ranging from prejudices with age, people, ethnicities, customs of other places, impositions against women and their rights at the time, racism, violence against the minority among many others. Things like that, that move us, leading us to reflect on the time, as well as on the advances that humanity has had since then and the happiness of seeing little Anne developing throughout the series.
Your keen mind and imagination will go far! I identified with this point, because I always had an imagination that transported me to another place, especially when I felt I needed it the most.
Without a doubt, Anne is ahead of her time. she is a super smart girl, who always takes inspiration wherever she goes, including places where she knew she was not welcome. It's amazing how many things we can get out of stories, isn't it? Anne, a young orphan girl who has been abused practically her entire life, still has a heart overflowing with love and eyes moved by the hope of a tomorrow with more color in her days and in the days of those she loves so much.
