We can already see the beautiful Christmas decorations around the city and the little kids excited to visit the shopping malls and talk to Santa Claus. And we adults are already preparing for supper and lunch with the family.
But have you ever stopped to ask yourself if you're really celebrating the real Christmas? Yes that's right. The real Christmas!
The word Christmas comes from birth, birth of someone very important and that even because of him, calendars were changed. And there are dates before and after his coming into the world.
No, I'm not talking about religion. I'm talking about the incredible birth of the Son of God on Earth: Jesus Christ coming in flesh and blood to bless us and point out a beautiful new way.
For the brief time he was in human form among us, he was controversial, often misunderstood even by his disciples who were seeking kingship in this world.
He didn't want to be known as a political leader or anything like that. He was humiliated, crucified and even rejected by his, the Jewish people, the origin of Jesus on Earth.
Anointed by God, the father of lights, He came to save the world from its sins and bring about reconciliation with the Creator!
Far from being an agitator, He turns water into wine in our lives, like the miracle he performed at Cana in Galilee. Give sight to the blind, make the paralyzed walk! For we are often blind, even though our eyesight is perfect, and we wander around like invalids struggling from side to side, only focusing on the material and trivial things of this world.
