A large circular structure built 5,5 years ago was discovered some time ago in Peru. Such a construction would be one of the oldest in the Americas. The site was discovered by Peruvian and German archaeologists under another ruin, known as Sechin Bajo, in Casma, 370 kilometers from the capital, Lima. “In reality, this monument has an extraordinary architecture, which probably began in the most archaic constructions and continued through the most formative period”, said archaeologist German Yenque.
Before the new discovery, the city of Caral was considered to be the oldest in Western civilization, with about 5 years old. Peru has many archaeological sites, many of which predate the mighty Inca Empire, which reached its height in the XNUMXth century, before the Spanish invasion.
