The Soul is not concerned with having or doing

The Soul is not concerned with having or doing

“Your Soul doesn't care what you do for a living—and when your life is over, you won't care either.

Your soul only cares about what you are being while you are active.”

This excerpt was taken from the book “Talking to God”, by Donald Wash

I don't know about you who are reading this sentence now and maybe you haven't thought about it before, or not in this way, but as for me, I read and reread it several times, because somewhere inside me, there was a question about how To this.

Do I have to be someone prominent? Do I have to have a recognized, well-regarded, well-paid profession? If not, being invisible in the eyes of society is my place. Running away from what I'm supposed to do would not be an escape either, not to get involved with the world and its dynamics full of problems, as well as being free from stress and competitiveness among others, so that my Ego feels safe, loved and recognized.

When you start to understand that, whatever you're doing, and it may even be something you don't like so much, that's your place right now and that doesn't take away the right to want something better, less tiring, less stressful, but , in fact, your place right now may not be your ideal.

And your soul doesn't need status, fame and recognition. She only cares about what you are being while you are active. The soul seeks a state of existence, not of action.

This gives us an idea that we can be in any activity, be it the simplest, like taking care of a house, being a doorman in a building, having a fruit stand at the fair, being a director of a large company, working while traveling, being an actor. or singer… It doesn't matter!

You and I can, yes, aspire to have a different profession, more money, better living conditions, a lighter job... but what you are while doing what you do and the way you experience your activity is the most important thing to bring you a lighter life, without the frustration of wanting or doing something that is out of reach.

Imagine if you didn't have people working in the garbage collection, truck drivers to transport food or technology professionals who develop services and products that make our lives easier today...

Don't try to change areas just thinking about doing something you like or because you feel smaller, inferior and even invisible to society. Start by enjoying what you do, but if, by any chance, it proves to be unsustainable, change. Don't spend your life at a point where there is neither love nor joy in action, where working is an unbearable burden.

“If you choose the Evolution of your soul, you will not get it through the physical activities of the body. Remember that you cannot have what you want, but you can experience what you have.”

And the funniest thing about it is that when you stop aiming for success and material possessions, the path is open to obtaining them.

And it may be that at this stage these things serve your well-being and that of those around you, but no longer an object of desire that never ends.

If this is Utopia, I don't know, but it seems to me that it is a less painful path and with less frustrated expectations, more awareness of what I can do, where I want to go, of the place I occupy, and above all of what I am in the world. place I occupy.
