The right way to store food

In a busy life full of commitments, it's hard to shop at the supermarket whenever we need to, isn't it? Therefore, knowing the foods we can keep in stock is a great help to stock the pantry for a long time. But, in addition to knowing which foods last longer, it's also very important to know the best way to store them so they don't spoil due to lack of care.

Here's the best way to store some everyday foods so they last as long as possible:

Sheets

The best way to keep the leaves longer is to first wash them in running water, then soak them in a hypochlorinated solution for 20 minutes, rinse again and store them dry in a covered container with little air.

Tomato

Contrary to what many people do, tomatoes should not be kept in the fridge. The best way is to store it at room temperature. If it is too ripe, the solution is to make a sauce and then store it in the fridge in a jar with a lid.

Onion

Like tomatoes, the best way to store them is not to put them in the fridge. It is best to store in an open, moisture-free, well-ventilated place. Also avoid closed cabinets. The only exception is if the onion has been cut. Then, it's better to keep it in the fridge in a pot, if the onion is peeled, it's even better.

French Fries

Store out of the fridge, in an open but dry place, protected from light.

Seasonings – dry or powdered

In this case, the best place is not in the fridge or in open places, but inside cabinets, to be well protected.

Garlic

Coffee powder

Store in a dark, airtight container (better than clear, open containers) and then place in a cupboard.
