In my everyday situations, I always find these words within my vocabulary and include them in my conversations with everyone, with strangers, intimates and co-workers.
But I realize a restricted number of people using the magic words, they were lost, need to be found, rescued and used.
The world has changed and evolved in a relatively short period of time, everything has been digitized, information arrives faster and more easily, we are always running and out of time, a word has become a symbol, an emoticon, a sentence is summarized in 2 or 3 words and the chosen words are not the magic ones, the magic words are the excluded ones. They were abandoned! It's like throwing a pot of gold in the trash, because the magic words are the reflection of our character, they are our good manners, our demonstration of kindness, respect and politeness, they are the magic words that open doors, that open smiles.
They simply stopped being used and instead added other words that, as modern as the world is, I can't understand their use, for example:
I recently called a packaging supplier and he called me my love, I thought he got confused with his wife, sometimes she is also called Caroline, so I repeated:
"Hello! Good evening! I'm Caroline and I need a budget.”, and he repeated:
"What do you need, my love?"
I wonder what system are we living in that the word lady/miss is exchanged for my love? Friend, angel, honey, girl, flower?
We may be digitized, live in a modern and less formal world, but education cannot and should not be lost… Never! No matter how far the world advances, respect, cordiality, kindness and politeness must be maintained.
My invitation is that you find the magic words, use them in abundance and have as a reward a pot of gold, a pot of fortune of virtues in your life!
