Reset your mind in 5 steps

Studies on Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) gained momentum in the 70s, thanks to psychology student Richard Bandler and linguistics professor John Grinder, both from the University of Santa Cruz (California-USA).

According to this methodology, our attitudes are influenced by an internal network of thoughts and emotions. To reprogram this network we must understand our way of acting. Those who adopt this technique learn to improve their abilities and receive incentives to do so.

Neuro-Linguistic Programming can be used both personally and professionally. Check out here 5 steps to reprogram your mind in a month.

    • Don't speak negative expressions

Mental reprogramming starts with vocabulary. Words attract and when you say all the time “I can't do it”, “I'll never make it”, “this is not for me”, “I'm doomed to failure”, it all becomes true and you get used to it. Polite yourself to remove negative words and expressions from your vocabulary.

    • Avoid the hypotheses

How many times have you said “what if”? Many, isn't it? Such an expression is fertile ground for doubts and stagnation. Of course, no one is free from having doubts, however, at certain times, they gain so much strength that they take away our courage to fight. Always act and if you make a mistake learn from your mistakes and move on.

    • Lower the superlatives

This is a very important tip for your life, to understand it, repeat it millions of times, no superlatives. The expressions “very important”, “millions of times”, “terrible”, “extremely right” are figures that intensify a characteristic. They should be avoided because they take away the real dimension of an issue or situation.

By sending a work email with the title “extremely important” you can generate tension for something that was already foreseen and with an action plan for it. In family and love relationships, the phrase “I've said it a million times” gives the impression that you do nothing but count the mistakes of others.

    • Have a motivation for each day
    • Reset your mind in 5 steps

When you go to the bathroom, right after waking up, look in the mirror and say how you want your day to go. Say things like "I'm going to do my best", "today I'm going to be more tolerant", "today I'm going to relax and have fun". Say all this confidently, no “if I…”.

    • Learn the art of kindness

When you are kind, the biggest beneficiary is you. Those who learn to be kind know their essence and that of the other. Start with yourself and see how easy it will be to be with everyone around you.
