Re-signifying experiences: let's give color to memories

World Poetry Day was established by UNESCO in 1999 and aims to support linguistic diversity through poetic expression.

Poetry has brought a special meaning to my life. Looking inside ourselves, who is a poet dreams that one day they will have at least one book published, and publishing poetry is not only to express feelings, but also to reflect on the new filled with small verses and photographs.

Ressignifying is more than special, because it defines me a lot. I've always liked the old, the art of collecting. From the old letters, I made books, entitled “Unforgettable Memories”, for my eyes to always remember. I live on eternal memories, on homesickness, on having old objects to decorate my house, and I cry listening to old songs… I experience past, lost loves… the ones that couldn't stay with me. And the photographs… ah! I published those very significant ones in a book with poems to immortalize.

But I also align myself with the new times... learning to live the resignification with another look, in this life that follows its paths, and so I experience and see its reality detached from suffering and regretting the past, because I know how to choose to build my happiness in this constant movement in live the challenges of seeing and taking life more lightly to continue.

Memories make way for the beauty of what was lived, giving new meaning to experiences and giving color to memories, transforming each one of them into poetry that packed dreams. And the biggest challenge is to resignify… without dramatizing. That's how the poet is... that's learning to resignify. And this very brilliant millennial art, which is writing poetry, allows us to declare… declare verses, declaiming on stage or just lying down cradled in the arms of the loved one… or in shouting poetic verses to the world… in published books, expressing sensitive feelings through the eyes of those who read poetry and make themselves cry, smile, fall in love… be enchanted. Poetry is the poetic way of loving – so let's re-signify it!

To re-signify, think about it, is not to exclude from thought what that event was, good or bad, but to make it so light... all senses, from resistance, utopia, from the art and intensity of our dark sensibility.
