But what is hair nutrition and what is it for?

natural hair nutrition

Hair nutrition is like a “reset” in the hair: it restores the lipids, which are molecules responsible for protecting the fiber when the hair is opaque and lackluster, and rescues the natural oiliness of the hair. It leaves hair softer and shiny, controls volume and frizz, ends split and dry ends, promotes lasting hydration, in addition to many other benefits.

Nowadays, there are many ways to nourish your locks, not just in beauty salons, as usual. Surely you must have seen someone making some natural hair nutrition at home, with all-natural ingredients such as coconut oil, egg yolk or white, honey and even olive oil. But the question that doesn't want to be silent is: how and why are these ingredients good for our hair? Let's tell you now!

  • Coconut oil is a vegetable oil rich in proteins, vitamins and iron, so it provides softness and shine to the hair. In addition to renewing health, it also improves the blood circulation of the scalp and even helps in the growth of wires.
  • The egg is a food of animal origin rich in amino acids, protein, fatty acids and zinc; all this makes it a superfood. In addition to being incredibly beneficial to the health of the body, it acts on the hair, ensuring a good hair structure, favoring hair growth, fighting dryness and preventing hair loss.
  • Honey is rich in amino acids, mineral salts and alpha-hydroxy acids, which seal porous and brittle strands, repairing and rebuilding them. In addition to moisturizing, honey retains water in the hair and works as a natural emollient because it has conditioning power.
  • Olive oil, especially extra virgin, has a lot of nutrients. It contains oleic acid, palmitic acid and squalene, which are emollient substances, that is, they provide deep hydration to the hair.
