Discover the Lucy Montoro Rehabilitation Network

The Lucy Montoro Network was created by decree 52.973 of 2008, regulated by decree 55.739 of 2010 and modified by decrees 58.050 of 2012 and 61.003 of 2014, by the Government of the State of São Paulo.

Objective: Provide patients with disabling sensorimotor and motor physical disabilities with the most advanced and excellent rehabilitation treatment.

Rehabilitation: Specific rehabilitation programs are carried out through the Network, according to the needs of each patient.



Treatments are carried out by multidisciplinary teams, composed of professionals specialized in rehabilitation, including physiatrists, nurses, physiotherapists, nutritionists, psychologists, occupational therapists, social workers, physical educators and speech therapists.

Discover the Lucy Montoro Rehabilitation NetworkTreatment units: Currently, there are 15 units in operation throughout the state and more than 100 services are provided monthly. The operating units are: Campinas, Clínicas, Fernandópolis, Lapa, Marília, Mogi Mirim, Morumbi, Pariquera-Açu, Presidente Prudente, Ribeirão Preto, Santos, São José do Rio Preto, São José dos Campos, Umarizal and Vila Mariana.

There is also a mobile network, since 2009. Its objective is to meet the most urgent demands for the supply of orthotics, prostheses, wheelchairs and mobility aids throughout the state. It has served more than 2.000 patients and provided more than 4.000 pieces of equipment. It is a 100% adapted truck measuring 15 m long x 2,60 m wide and weighing 20 tons.

The rehabilitation program includes care for people with physical disabilities, without cognitive impairment, in the following areas:

*Exception: serves patients with mild cognitive impairment.

During treatment, if the patient has a health problem, he will be evaluated by the local team and transferred to emergency resources in the community if necessary. The patient may be referred for follow-up with medical specialists in community resources, if the team deems it necessary.



THERAPEUTIC WORKSHOPS

Therapeutic workshops allow the discovery of interests, abilities and potential of people with disabilities. They enable interaction with others, with the space and stimulate the exchange of experiences, facilitating communication between people. The workshops are coordinated by the Occupational Therapy Service and have specialized art educators.

 

PROFESSIONAL HABILITATION AND REHABILITATION

Vocational Qualification or Rehabilitation promotes professional training/qualification and personal development, facilitating insertion or reinsertion into the labor market, in an adapted way when necessary. It provides an opportunity to generate income, favoring social and professional inclusion and the exercise of citizenship.

IS SERVICE FREE? Yes, the Lucy Montoro Network is linked to the Government of the State of São Paulo and offers rehabilitation programs through the SUS (Unified Health System). There are some services offered in the private and agreement modality. Consult the unit.
