About being a winner

Most people go through life not knowing if they are on the right path because they haven't found meaning in what they do, whether in personal life or in their professional career. The exaggerated way that the “ideal standard” is imposed on us ends up putting our ability in check, and I say the worst, makes us believe that we are nothing.

And the impression is that the life of the other is better, the pain of the other is less, and being a winner becomes something so utopian that we dive into a sea of uncertainties that, often, so deep, there is no view of possibilities for change. The other winners, we don't.

It is not for nothing that Plato has as one of his main phrases that “overcoming yourself is the greatest of victories”, a phrase that is as repeated as it is misunderstood in its implications.

Our life is a constant internal battle. Overcoming yourself means understanding that everything can be different when we accept that most problems can be overcome through small changes, understanding and, above all, attitude.

We win when we choose to wake up early to buy some time during the day to take care of our health; we win when we manage to be disciplined in our studies, in our proposals and life projects; we are winners when neither the opinion or life of others matters, but the constant resignification of feelings that lead us to the path of true peace.
