Meaning of doors according to Feng Shui

According to the Chinese technique of harmonizing spaces – Feng Shui –, doors have great symbolic value. They represent the beginning of a space; welcome those who are outside. They define accesses and communications.

Doors are important as they are the entrance of energy to an environment. When the energy flow that enters is constant, harmonious and balanced, we can say that its occupants are well, enjoying good health, good relationships and prosperity in life. However, if the doors are blocked or malfunctioning, they can negatively affect the health of the residents of the property, as well as other aspects of life.

Here are some examples of doors that can harm the vitality and quality of life of residents:

Meaning of doors according to Feng Shui

â–Ş Doors that open with obstruction, creaking, difficult to open, with problems in the hinges and handles can signify pathological tendencies in the occupants of the house.

▪ diagonal doors, in Feng Shui, are not favorable, as they can generate unexpected difficulties; its angle "warps the chi" (ie energy). To “cure”, the ideal is to level the door or to structurally correct it. Another option is to place a 40 mm faceted crystal ball inside and another outside the house (preferably, hang them with a red ribbon/thread and always in a position below the doorframe).

â–Ş Too many ports in a small area wastes and divides energy in many directions. One way to fix it is to place a brass or brass wind chime on the ceiling in the center of the hallway.

â–Ş Series of three doors, one after the other: Energy enters too quickly, creating imbalance, which can lead to strained relationships, heart problems and vulnerability in the intestinal tract. The solution is to place a 40mm faceted crystal ball with red thread (below the jamb) in each span to reduce speed and balance energy.

â–Ş Glass doors, especially those at the entrance to the house, suggest lack of protection and vulnerability. To solve this issue, the idea would be to close the glass part somehow. Remembering: sandblasting or painting them does not solve the problem.

â–Ş Misaligned ports (malocclusion) generate communication problems between people, in addition to being harmful to health. One of the ways to "cure" this problem is to use mirrors on the side of the door, making them look the same size and thus convey a sense of balance.

â–Ş In the case of double-leaf doors, the suggestion is to open both leaves regularly or replace them with a single-leaf door.

â–Ş Doors in the same direction as the window disperse energy very quickly. In that case, use the 40mm faceted crystal ball between the door and window.

Another curiosity: by Feng Shui, the doors represent the “mouths” of adults. The excess of doors in a house can generate many discussions and divergences due to different opinions.

Other point: avoid placing “things” behind the door that obstruct or hinder its full opening.

So take care of the doors of your house! They need to open completely, be well lubricated and preferably open into the environments.
