Dalai Lama and Meditation to Find Happiness

A leader of Tibetan Buddhism, the Dalai Lama is considered a true teacher of life. There were so many books, lectures, that words are lacking to describe how this figure with a calm demeanor won thousands of followers.

What makes the Dalai Lama so unique is the way he teaches. and to leave human beings free to have their own choices and beliefs. It is so with meditation, which year after year the number of practitioners has increased.

For the leader of Tibetan Buddhism, there is a way to meditate, more independent and free from religions or beliefs. In his book, "Beyond Religion" he tells some ways to start the practice of meditation and, along with it, find balance, lucidity and freedom.

Meditation: A Cultivation of the Mind

Regardless of religion, seeking self-knowledge can be the tool to get to know ourselves better and being able to face the difficulties of life. Connecting to our inner life in times of turmoil has been a current challenge. How to find time to meditate in the busy days, crushed by haste?

The Dalai Lama tells us that the first step is to find a goal through meditation. If your focus is to reduce anxiety, through meditation you can conquer more peaceful moments.

Another important question that the leader Dalai Lama asks us is to get deal with procrastination. Yes, it's a challenge. We will always believe that we will have other more important and urgent things to deal with and, believe me, there will always be. As long as you don't give it that time, you will live in this procrastination and you will never be able to find the right moment.

Dalai Lama and Meditation to Find Happiness

Patience and practice planning

Dalai Lama puts the beginning of the practice as the wild horse and trainer. In the beginning, it takes patience, persistence for this wild horse (the mind) to be able to focus according to the steps of its trainer. Once you've started, being able to set a time is a good start, followed by the time the meditation will be held and, of course, a good place to meditate. Relax and focus on your breathing and posture. It is difficult at first, but with practice, everything will flow.

The benefits of meditation

After a period of practice, its benefits are visible. You start out anxious, or even in a hurry, but if you focus, meditating will bring you benefits such as a sense of well being, peace, and tranquility.

Being able to pay attention to these benefits makes you focus on practice and not leave it as something that can be done later. Meditating will do you good.

meditation and happiness

everyone wants happiness, although we already know that what happens are moments of happiness. To be able to deal with and find this feeling, you need to be lucid. With meditation, your mind will be more lucid, calmer and, thus, you will be able to capture moments that really matter.

What good are so many material things when the body is weak and the mind sick? When there is no inner happiness, when there is distrust? Satisfaction in life, in work, in things, can be found in meditation.

The happiness that wells up within us is true happiness, this is possible with meditation. What is external springs up, but it's fast, a day has passed and we don't remember anymore. So believe me, it is possible to find happiness through meditation!
